This track stems from the idea that we, as humans, are the last type of complex species that will inhabit planet earth. We're all killing each other and there will be, sooner than later, another mass extinction. DARK. I know.
lyrics
All of this started from nothing
From the stars to the planets
The creation of Earth all for something
As time passes by evolution
When the big bang started everything
And the gods began to sing
There grew a planet holding life
Its name is Mother Earth
Creepy critters hiding in the sand
When the dinosaurs roamed the land
The meteor was not fiction
And caused a mass extinction
Finally humans become civil
And they learned to be greedy
So then the gods felt disgruntled
And everything turned to chaos
Other plants might just hold the key
Of what it means to be free
Governmental conspiracy
Is not the life to be
Television, criticism, germinate idealism
Sounds of songs you like to hear
May keep you sane so not to fear
Gravity pulls so what’s to push?
Maybe darker forces
If this world is to continue
Let’s identify some issues
NOW
Another extinction is due within our time
No way around it just Hold On for your life

Another stellar release from this long-lived ensemble. Though the King Crimson influence is obvious & that comparison unavoidable, these guys have made many great recordings that can't be categorized as 'mere copies'. The perfect balance of aggressive riffing and serene soundscapes. Stephen Roberts

In 1981 I was with my father in a Tangerine Dream concert in the Stadthalle Bremen. This piece of music brought both memories of this event and a very fresh note on top. Wonderful music beyond time and technology. erik maronde
